-- The tinkering continues.
When Alabama rolled out its first-team offensive line , Austin Shepherd was at left tackle, Alphonse Taylor was at right guard and Leon Brown was at right tackle. During , Shepherd was back at his usual spot at right tackle, Brown was at right guard and third-year sophomore Brandon Greene was at left tackle.
There promises to be even more experimenting as Alabama hits the second-half stretch of spring practice.
"I m sure that probably before the end of spring we ll probably shuffle them a little bit like we did last spring with some guys playing different spots to see if there s a different combination of guys that gives us a better opportunity to be successful," Alabama coach Nick Saban said last week. "So we ll at least know heading into the fall, adding some new players in the fall that will be competing as well, what guys capabilities are and what they can do."
