Alabama hasn't seen the Collegiate Baseball top 10 since landing at No. 9 in May of 2009. It's been even longer for Baseball America-- the 2006 season.
TheTide went 3-1 last week with two wins at Texas A M and a midweek victoryover Louisiana-Monroe. It took two of three games in College Station for itssecond straight SEC series victory.
Thatgave Alabama the best league record in the SEC at 8-4. South Carolina, Floridaand Ole Miss all have 7-5 conference records.
Topping the Collegiate Baseball ranking is Louisiana-Lafayette, a team that took two of three from the Tide early in the season. South Carolina fell from No. 1 to No. 4, but remains the SEC's top-ranked team.
The Gamecocks are the only SEC team ranked ahead of Alabama in both polls. They're No. 5 in the Baseball America ranking.
