- Legacy Credit Union is returningas the title sponsor of the 2014 Legacy Indy Lights 100 races at BarberMotorsports Park.
New this year, according to a press release fromZOOM Motorsports, the Legacy Indy Lights 100 will feature two races over thethree-day weekend, and will be one of the main features during the fifth annualHonda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama weekend, April 25-27.
Legacy Indy Lights 100 Race No. 1 is set forSaturday, April 26. Legacy Indy Lights 100 Race No. 2 will be Sunday,April 27, before the weekend's main race.
Now, in its 13th season, the Indy Lights presented by CooperTires is a stepping-stone for drivers and teams striving to compete in theVerizon IndyCar Series. Indy Lights features some of the brightest young talentin racing today.
Racers will compete using single-seat, open-wheel vehiclespowered by 3.5 liter, normally aspirated spec engines, capable of speeds up to190 mph on superspeedways.
