Alabama School of Mathematics and Science's Department of Student Servicesis hosting a 2014 Boutique in the girl's dorm on Wednesday, April 9.
The boutique is only open to ASMS students.
"We are asking the public to donategently used formal gowns (long or short) to the school by Monday, April 7,"said ASMS Director of Student Services Dr. Monica Motley in a press release. "This willprovidean opportunity for ASMS students to purchase a lovely gown at areasonable rate for the school's prom."
All gowns will be on sale for . The money raised will benefit a local non-profit organization.
"We are accepting all sizes, andASMS hall advisor Tabby Ely has volunteered to do minor alterations forstudents," Motley added.
